Jennifer Christian is the Chief Scientific Officer at TargetRWE, where she evaluates and sets priorities for the organization while providing scientific oversight and leadership to the Epidemiology and Statistics teams that are delivering epidemiology and drug safety studies, causal inference software, and advanced methods such as negative control outcomes studies and clone censor weighting. Her research has focused on strengthening clinical effectiveness and safety evaluations of newly approved treatments through advanced epidemiology methods and principled approaches. She engages in many activities that are advancing the use of RWE for regulatory and payer decision-making through the International Society of Pharmacoepidemiology, Duke Margolis Methods Working Group and Friends of Cancer Research.

Christian has published and edited numerous articles, including editor of “Increasing Focus on the Patient in Patient Registries” e-book published by AHRQ, contributions to the first textbook on pragmatic trials, Pragmatic Randomized Clinical Trials, and author on the National Academy of Medicines’ paper, “Generating Knowledge from Best Care: Advancing the Continuously Learning Health System”. Christian is an Anniversary Fellow at the National Academy of Medicine and an adjunct faculty member within the Division of Clinical Epidemiology and Evaluative Sciences Research at Weill Cornell Medical College. She is a Fellow, former board member, and currently VP of Finance Elect of the International Society of Pharmacoepidemiology (ISPE). She is a graduate of the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Pharmacy, UNC School of Public Health (MPH), and Brown University School of Public Health (PhD Epidemiology).
